Allen Childers, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at Arkansas Urology, where he is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on education, empowerment, and trust. With a lifelong love of science, Allen was inspired to pursue medicine by the opportunity to apply that passion in a way that directly helps people live healthier lives.
Allen earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Southern Arkansas University in 2011, followed by a bachelor’s in Cardio-Pulmonary Science from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2013. He began his career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for two years before earning his Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2017.
His connection to Arkansas Urology began during a six-week elective rotation, where he discovered a strong interest in the specialty’s unique blend of medicine and surgery. That experience confirmed his desire to pursue a career in urology and to provide holistic, long-term care for patients.
Allen’s approach to patient care is deeply personal—treating each individual as he would a member of his own family. He prioritizes patient education and strives to ensure every patient leaves the clinic feeling informed, confident, and supported in their healthcare journey.
Allen currently serves as the Southeast Director at Large for the Arkansas Academy of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Urological Association.
Outside of work, Allen enjoys reading, hunting, fishing, traveling, and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks. A fun fact—he also plays the saxophone! He and his wife, Taylor, have been married for 10 years and live in El Dorado with their two children, CC and Shep. Their home is made even livelier by their golden retriever, Winnie, and their spirited cat, Rico.
