A native of Salem, Arkansas, Dr. Robbie Hurtt joined Arkansas Urology in 2017. Dr. Hurtt graduated valedictorian from Salem High School followed by a degree in Biology with summa cum laude honors from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He completed his general surgery internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi as well as his urologic residency. He also served as chief resident in his time there. He published multiple papers in peer reviewed journals while in Mississippi. He has given multiple podium presentations at urologic meetings throughout the country and has performed over 1,000 robotic operations. Dr. Hurtt is a member of the American Urological Association, and is board certified as a diplomat of the American Board of Urology. He is also a member of the Arkansas Urologic Association and Arkansas Medical Society.
He serves as medical director at Arkansas Urology and has a special interest in oncology and robotic surgery. Dr. Hurtt also sits on multiple leadership committees across several central Arkansas hospitals.
He and his wife Megan are parents to three wonderful boys, and they are very active in the adoption and foster care community having fostered many children over the past 5 years. He is a type rated pilot and enjoys using aviation for both remote urologic care and travel with family.
Dr. Hurtt is a member of the American Urological Association.
